Meet the Wedding Party
Amy Jo Williamson, Maid of Honor
Amy Jo Williamson lives in Pennsylvania where she works as a licensed ER Veterinary Technician. In her spare time, she can be found boating on the river with her husband and friends, riding her horse Libby, or ice skating. After Amy and MaryBeth were introduced by mutual friends at a hockey game in Florida (!), their friendship grew through a mutual love of rollerblading, late night Wii sports, and Phil Vassar. Over the years they have been each other’s mediator, advisor, comedienne, and partner-in-crime — if you’re ever going to get pulled over for speeding in a golf cart during a late night beer run, there’s no better accomplice than Amy Jo! No matter how many miles separate them, she remains one of MaryBeth’s most trusted and dearest friends. After all of their adventures together, MaryBeth couldn’t imagine beginning this one without Amy at her side.
Brandon Kruse, Best Man
Brandon Kruse hails from Minnesota, where he is a husband, father, and baseball writer. He is a trusted friend and confidant whom Jameson met in California. He says he knew that he and Jameson were destined for friendship when, in one of their first conversations, he made a wisecrack about the movie Waterworld which launched Jameson into an immediate, passionate, and irrefutable defense of it. Since then, they’ve collaborated on projects ranging from websites to comedy screenplays to this very paragraph, all the while fiercely debating every pop culture topic imaginable. Brandon has helped Jameson move (and vice versa), survived his uniquely tactical driving style (including Brandon’s favorite maneuver, the Honk & Scream), and endured many late night script-revising calls that devolved into pure silliness. He looks forward to handing off some of those responsibilities to MaryBeth.
Lauren MacKenzie, Celebrant
Lauren MacKenzie is Jameson & MaryBeth’s friend from Portland, Oregon, where she is a midwife and happily married mother of two. Jameson has known her since birth, and though MaryBeth has only known her a tenth of that time, it already feels like a lifelong bond. She is a reliable sounding board and cheerleader, and has recently added “maternity consultant” to her ever-growing list of friendship responsibilities. Lauren is the best kind of friend to have: someone who inspires you to be a better person just to be worthy of knowing her — she has devoted her time to Doctors Without Borders, delivering babies in Haiti and the Congo — but won’t lord it over you, because she’s too busy starting toaster fires or locking her kids in the car on the way to the airport. Knowing her is only half as adventuresome as being her, but for most mere mortals that’s thrilling enough. Jameson & MaryBeth are honored that Lauren has agreed to marry them.
