V-Bee Day
Well, I suppose it wouldn't be a redesign if it didn't incorporate at least one back-breaking, miserable all-nighter. Still, two seems like kind of a lot. It's kind of astonishing how many things can seem like tiny loose ends, but then they turn out to be whole projects on their own.
For one thing: data entry. Man, I was not prepared for how slow and arduous that process would be. I figured it would take half of Monday to input all the old onebee photos into the new onebee (a necessity since all the image sizes are different now). Instead, I started around 9am and finished around 2am. Yikes!
Anyway, I'm whining a lot right now because I've slept four out of the last 42 hours and I still feel like there are a lot of small things that I need to fix. But, ignore me. It's all worth it.
[Hilarious! No sooner did I type that sentence than I got derailed for over 90 minutes by a display glitch on the Photos page with Windows IE 6.0. How do people use that browser?! How do web designers ever get anything done?! There's just no logic. Anyway, bygones...]
What I was going to say before I got distracted is: even if there are a few rough edges that remain, I'm still thrilled to have the re-bee behind me, because I've missed you guys so much! There's been no time for new content with all this work, and now I can finally get back to making onebee fun again. I think the new fall TV season is the perfect way to kickoff the onebee renaissance, and I can't wait to do it.
But first, sleep. I hope to have some TV preview stuff up tomorrow afternoon (that is, later today), but in the meantime, if you're playing along with onebee's Annual TiVo Gauntlet of New Fall Programming, be advised that your first route marker is Fox's Reunion which debuts at 9:00 on Thursday.
Thanks for all your support! Tell your friends it's once again safe to read onebee – the frequency of jargony JavaScript rants ought to die down pretty quickly now.
Oh, and please don't hesitate to e-mail me if you run into any glitches, no matter how small. I'm sure there are plenty of things I haven't been able to think of, and I'd love an opportunity to fix them. (But first, hit reload a couple of times – some browsers are more vigilant about caching style sheets than others.)

Like, for example, the "fatal error" on every page that Arksie alerted me to just now. I swear, someone should take away my web programmer's license...

(sound of the producers of Prison Break committing hari-kari for not being able to get Jameson to notice that they started two weeks ago)

That was August! That's officially a summer show. Fuck them. (Even the EW profile says: "started Aug 26" – or whenever – when all the other ones say "debuts Sept 25" – or whenever.)
Also, I've heard it's really, really awful.

The show, or actual prison?
Happy V-Bee Day! I'm excited to test out the preview button... here goes...
Very nice! Excellent work, sleepypants!

Both, actually, although most prisoners surveyed said they'd rather be on the show than in prison. Then again, on the show, the prison only has three walls, so they can have a place to put the camera. I can't imagine any prisoner wouldn't prefer that arrangment.
NO TOUCHING!!

Famous last words: "No matter how small." Heh.
I noticed that when submitting a new comment, your username (as opposed to public name) introduces your comment on the resulting page, and your e-mail address (if you've elected to make it public) does not appear. But then, if you reload the page, the public name and username appear.
Perhaps intentional, so the post-submit page doesn't have to wait for the server hit to display?
Was talking to a friend about Prison Break the night before last. He said that, although he did not necessarily like it (per se), he was continuing to watch it for the time being. Ringing endorsement that that is.

I got them from the theme to TV's Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers. ;-)
New comments are served out of the POST variables (rather than the database), to allow for the display of "previewed" comments (which would – of course – not be in the database). Otherwise, they're served out of the database.
There were a couple of new instances of comment spam this morning, so I must modify the comment posting technology to address that issue. While I'm at it, I will true up the formatting inconsistency you noticed, which is among the many issues that have escaped my attention because I always forget to logout before testing site features. (What a dope!)
