Romano couldn’t be satisfied creating the last great multi-camera sitcom in human history. He has to go on and make these astonishing, deeply heartfelt movies, one after another, where his understated and extremely unselfconscious performances absolutely slay me. Metcalf is fantastic, as always. The whole cast delivers, in fact, but for me the Versailles Palace is the true MVP. Its stark and chintzy facade holds the screen with the unearned confidence of a Will Ferrell character.
