This is a beautiful story, and an incredibly strong performance from Colman Domingo, with patience, nuance, and humanity. All of the acting feels natural and unhurried, probably the result of having so many people playing themselves. Their chemistry is excellent, digging deep into challenging themes of vulnerability and isolation without ever feeling amateurish.
