Older Jude Law is a little more toned down than usual, which is a welcome change. Jurnee Smollett has always impressed me. Even a small amount of Marc Maron is a nice treat. The film is skillfully assembled and has a timely relevance, but feels a bit distracted; it never finds an angle on the story that’s unique or essential.
