The Paris scenery is beautiful, and the premise is tantalizingly absurd, but treated too earnestly to be enjoyed as a genre lark. There was a brief period where it was all I could hear about on social media, and I guess what I’ve learned is that I’m now too old to be checking out movies for that reason alone.
