Johnson is appealing and funny, and the chemistry with Kendrick is excellent. The movie is definitely at its best when they’re together. Some of the structure is a little strained, but I appreciated its twists and ambiguity, which added to the comedy and enriched his character. It kept me interested—and laughing—throughout.
