Brooks casts well and I like his satirical eye, but not all of his work has aged well. This feels the most dated of any I’ve seen—schticky, oversexed, and plagued by pacing issues. Seems to me if you're trying to cover thousands of years in 90 minutes you’d want to linger a lot less on tepid comedic beats.
