At times more subtle than others, its prescience about identity politics and media manipulation is undeniable, and it’s quite well structured. Esposito is riveting (he rarely isn’t) and his and Vidal’s characters showcase from opposite ends of the spectrum how difficult it is to be taken seriously when trying to reveal the truth.
