It’s an enjoyable role for Pitt. Nothing flashy or brand new, but it plays to his strengths. The directing style is so imitative of Tarantino/Ritchie that “ripoff” feels more appropriate than “homage.” Taylor-Johnson and Tyree Henry are quite enjoyable. While depth is certainly lacking, the ride is pretty satisfying, if unmemorable.
