I imagine this did very well with readers who loved the book; it’s more about its tone and its heroine than unfolding a particularly satisfying story. It attempts to be a little too lyrical for my taste, but strong character turns from Michael Hyatt and Sterling Macer, Jr. are a bright spot, and the emphasis on science and nature is pretty cool.
