Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The visuals are great, and the casting of cameo roles is a giddy joy—so is Gomez, whom I hope we’ll see more of in this role. The dialogue loses its typical Marvel snap at times, and the story feels unclear in places, which caused me to tune out a bit and just leap from one set piece to the next. I really like the tonal sensibilities contributed by Raimi but, much like Spider-Man 3, I feel like he was overwhelmed by the scope of it. There’s not nearly enough Rachel McAdams (though I’d say that for all but about three films I’ve ever seen).
