Rockwell and Maron are perfectly cast, and I love seeing Maron get so much film work these days. Zazie Beets is great, too (as always), and the tone, visuals, and animation style are all pitch-perfect. The middle lags a little, and the whole thing makes too much use of news reports to further the story (a trope that’s plaguing animated films lately). But the cast and the fun energy carry through, overcoming any momentary hitches in the rhythm.
