The film could definitely be shorter, and the direction of the action sequences leaves a bit to be desired at times, but the Gotham it establishes is fascinating, and Pattinson, Dano, Wright, and Kravitz turn in great work. Giacchino’s score is excellent and brilliantly innovative.
