Olsen and Plaza deliver great performances, and there are clever moments here and there, but sadly this doesn’t often rise above its dark comedy tropes of nihilism and sardonic dismissiveness. There’s a point being made about our sense of identity in the social media age, but it’s not exactly breaking new ground, and the ending undercuts it severely.
