Wright doesn’t disappoint with the mod aesthetic, graphic design quality, and excellent music. His leads are marvelous, and the genre mashup slyly subverts expectations and reminds us that even with the progress of the sexual revolution, misogyny and sexism lurk, ready to take their cut. The middle spends a bit too much time on mood; cut a few minutes’ worth of her gasping and fleeing, and this would be more concise and riveting.
