The Justice League is largely absent (at least the members we think of most), and the story focuses mostly on mystical elements that aren’t very engaging and don’t set up a reliable set of stakes. When anyone can conjure anything at any time, we can’t really tell if our heroes are in a tight spot, or if it’s just business as usual. Often feels padded for length, which, considering its 75-minute running time, is saying something.
