Truly amateurish filmmaking, with a dialogue style reminiscent of Tommy Wiseau—exposition ladled out randomly with no consideration to which character is speaking, dialogue that feels rehashed from other genre films, and acting that assumes that delivering lines with a sneer somehow creates characterization. Worst of all, it skips over interesting scenes like murder and detective work, preferring to focus on meetings in which those off-screen events are discussed.
