It really is incredible to think of the technological achievement compared to what we take for granted now. So much is owed to the genius performance of Hoskins and the dedication of Richard Williams and his animators to sell the reality. The story is tight and quick, but feels like more than the sum of its parts because there are so many great moments, gags, and even details in the sets and props.
