McQueen’s and Flynn’s strengths compliment each other magnificently, and a strong, deep cast delivers some riveting drama that keeps the pressure on, deftly balancing character and plot. It’d have been nice to see Duvall rein it in a bit—his scenery-chewing stands out against everyone else’s subtler work.
