A rousing finish to a series that's maintained an impressive level of quality and heart. Most notably, the cast and story narrowed from part two to three—nearly unheard of, and much more satisfying. I was surprised what an emotional punch it delivered, thanks to DeBlois's magnificent characters, Powell's moving score, and (I'll grudgingly admit) Baruchel's performance.
