McKay is quickly proving himself a master of delivering these wonky, truth-based movies with just the right amount of humor and characterization to make it fun and engaging. Bale and Adams deliver magnificent performances (and even a bit of Shakespeare!), while McKay’s deft script and editing deliver a chilling and timely message without making it feel like homework.
