Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez mine some decent comedy from a few scenes, but mainly this fails any test of plausibility, logic, or basic sequential narrative flow. The writer had a tough chore justifying Lopez’s motivation to shift from kidnapping victim to willing boyfriend, and chose to sidestep it entirely.
