Vikander is an inspired choice to play a new Lara, and she delivers really well with a fierce edge and a sly twinkle. The visuals are impressive but the set pieces aren’t all that original, so there remains very little to distinguish this from a pale retread of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
