Sellers is in fine form, switching accents and mannerisms with style (though not, of course, with the range of Dr. Strangelove). He's nearly upstaged in many scenes by Lionel Jeffries as a nervous, bumbling police inspector. The comedy is serviceable, not side-splitting, but builds nicely to a satisfying, ridiculous finish.
