The songs aren't very engaging and the dialogue scenes around them are condensed to fit them in, causing the shifts in romantic attachments and mood to be even more sudden than they were in the non-musical adaptation. Nevertheless, Grace Kelly is riveting and Bing Crosby is surprisingly charismatic and sassy.
