Foster’s character is exceptional, and she brings her usual commitment and humanity to the role. All the cast is quite good, in fact (though there’s not nearly enough Goldblum). Somewhere in the grime and the unsubtle twists and the herky-jerky narrative momentum, it lost me, though.
