A fantastic combination of an engaging story, a well-built script, and superb direction that subtly uses excellent composition choices to give the world a realistic, lived-in feel. Multiple stories with disparate characters intertwine with a kinetic pace, and Bel Geddes is deployed at just the right moments to provide a leveling influence.
