Storytelling par excellence. Riveting performances with nothing held back, and an impeccably tight script with fascinating characters deftly illustrated. This film deals powerful emotional blows but understands that they are more impactful when revealed through the reactions of deeply human characters rather than grandiose imagery. The pacing and editing are perfect, the music is perfect—pretty much everything is perfect.
