It’s interesting to see an entire film where the male gaze is a co-star! This deep examination of the worst of men’s nature was more gruesome than strictly necessary, but fairly intriguing. Hoffman does some great work, and the editing and camera are pretty remarkable. The end result is less than satisfying, though I imagine a lasting sense of unease was intentional.
