A sweet story with some great performances, especially Nick Offerman in a small but meaningful role. It incorporates a few more cutesy flourishes than it needs (Gomez-Rejon is clearly pursuing a Wes Anderson-lite style), but it’s a lot of fun visually—better to have a few extra than none at all.
