Ah, the good old days when you could say goodbye to someone at the airport gate. And when you could put the truth on TV news and expect it to change anything. This movie, a huge favorite of mine 20 years ago, barfs a lot of ninetiesness into every scene, and doesn’t play subtle when wedging a decade-long story into two hours. But Redford and Pfeiffer do a respectable job with some on-the-nose material, and the key scenes still pack an emotional punch.
