Stirring, visually astonishing, and well directed. I've got to stop reading Wikipedia entries after watching films based on true events, though.
It would be nice to make a movie about the making of Braveheart, depicting Mel Gibson tirelessly ensuring the accuracy of every detail, just so that film could overtake Braveheart as the most historically inaccurate film ever made.
