I'm going to go one half-star further. For me, it was perfect. And, viewed through the prism of Adrienne Shelly's untimely death, devastatingly sad.

Absolutely so. She truly had a unique storytelling voice and as the final credits rolled, it really broke my heart to think it had been silenced too soon.
When I unwrapped the DVD on Christmas, I found an insert about the Adrienne Shelly foundation, established in her memory to support rising independent filmmakers, and I got choked up all over again.
