Okay, now I've read it.
I'm ashamed that he misses several "Oxford commas" (mostly in paragraph four), and it's unfortunate that he rambles a bit here and there, but it's great to see a straightforward statement summing up Apple's position on the issue and clarifying that it hasn't changed a bit.
There have been a handful of arguments made against Apple's decision, which unfortunately means Jobs must mount a somewhat meandering defense, but it's nice to see each one addressed: a few are ridiculous; a couple are factually inaccurate; and one or two Apple just doesn't care about. People are free to feel other ways, of course. Maybe that makes them decide not to buy Apple devices or write apps for the iPhone OS – but they can do so with a clear view of how Apple is thinking about the subject.
Now if we could just get "Thoughts on the App Store Acceptance/Rejection Process."
