I tried with TERMINATOR, I really did.

It's okay. TV wunderkind Joss Whedon and I forgive you. They don't make it easy, with the dopey Shirley Manson subplot and Lena Headey's marginal acting. But, man, when they get into their "soul of a robot" stuff, it's so engrossing you almost forget you're looking at Summer Glau in sexy little outfits.
You heard me.

She never did it for me at all, for whatever reason. Plus, it takes a lot to get me interested in action sequences these days (I'll go see a movie and be like, "Oh, good. A car chase. Now I can go pee").
So, unfortunately for TERMINATOR, it's like a perfect storm of disinterest for me.

Me neither, during Firefly. She once played a sultry sexpot on Cold Case (I have no idea why I saw this; I assume it was an ATGoNFP episode) and I was like, "Really? Her? Sexy?" But something's different on TTSCC – I don't know if she underwent the patented Michelle Trachtenberg off-camera hottening process, or it's the sexy little outfits, or what.
I have no idea how to process this. Is it possible you've prematurely turned 50? (Actually, my dad's pushing 60 and his primary complaint about Fringe is that there's not enough action. Is it possible you've prematurely turned dead?)

Whedon weighs in (on Dollhouse, not Terminator), with his own savvy take on the time slot. Of course he has to sound pleased, but given people's hysteria over this scheduling choice, even putting a gun in his mouth would have seemed calm by comparison. The money quote:
It must be very strange to be him. Immensely talented, more succesful than most, and with a rabid fan base that doesn't seem to believe in you at all.
